In 2019 Autism Parents Together (Tees Valley) hosted their first Winter Ball. Erimus sponsored the event which took place on the 22nd November 2019. It was a roaring success and Ben McBean (Co-Founder) shared his thanks:
“Our volunteers, trustees, corporate sponsors and families helped to make it a fun and successful evening. People asked how much we hoped to raise, when we said £10,000, they said that it just wasn’t possible for a first Ball; challenge accepted!
We are delighted to announce that we raised an amazing £10,300. This money will make such a difference to so many families affected by autism in the Tees Valley.”
Autism Parents Together (Tees Valley) was originally established as a parent support group in 2018. The charity provides support for children aged 0-18 years who have been diagnosed or undergoing assessment for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as well as their parents, carers and immediate family.
Social Exclusion is a major problem for people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and their families. Autism Parents Together (Tees Valley) organise parent supported activities that allow children and young people to participate in activities that they would otherwise be unable to access. They also arrange activities for siblings and carers, allowing them to meet other people and build a support network.
The 2020 Winter Ball will be held at Blackwell Grange on 15th November, as well as a Summer Social also at Blackwell Grange on 15th May 2020.
Autism Parents Together are currently looking for corporate sponsors, if anyone is interested please contact Ben McBean at firstname.lastname@example.org. Further details about the charity can be found on their website.
